I have been invited to share a little of what I have seen through my process of being initiated into flower essences. First I must say that I am highly suspicious of all things new age as I have seen the pursuit of them as no better or worse than any other pursuit of man, completely meaningless and void of any real substance.  The only pursuit I do see that seems worthwhile is a stripping away of all that is false. The layers and layers of mind-made “me” along with any and all beliefs, thoughts or opinions that things should somehow be different than they are.

So when informed that I would be receiving a series of these readings to help in what has already been years of deconstruction, and mind shattering annihilation, the “ I” was intrigued. My sense is that the “I” believed that this was somehow going to ease the pain, make the stripping-away process a little easier, and so on. If you count moving the present problem “de jour” out of the way so that a much bigger demon can rear its head well…then it worked.

My experience showed me that the essences did in fact help alleviate whatever I sensed or felt the problem was in the moment, however this relief was usually brief and short lived. What the essences really seem to do is act more as a lubricant so that the “true self/ that which cannot be destroyed” can move more swiftly through the carnage of the latest not self/false self battle (shattering of a mind made me) and  more clearly illuminate the next demon to be faced. To this end the essences exceeded any possible expectation the “I” could have had.

Now a little on the man and his magic: Ken is an incredibly powerful being, his aura actually impacts you directly towards the perfection of your own form.  He uses his intuition which has proven impeccable at identifying which of the 100’s of bottles that cover his wall are for you. There is no mind involved. Although I am sure his work is just effective for those seeking a little feel good, a little better sense of well being or whatever. Ken’s real joy, his real impact seems to be in working with people whom have left all teachers and teachings behind in order to become their “own” inner authority.

For those whom have realized that they are not comfortable in their own bodies, and see that they have been seeking anything to avoid being with themselves. For those whom have faced the truths of the oppression of their own minds and are ready to play grown up.  For those that are in or are looking to enter into the painful process of deconstruction, and face the muddy, bloody mess that such a journey entails, then the essences may be a real asset.

I am also not suggesting that anyone should embark on the fore-mentioned journey. However for those that have no choice in the matter, and are ready to claw themselves free of the chains that have held them in bondage for eons, Ken maybe your greatest ally. He certainly has been one of mine.

This woman has been working with me and the essences for some time.  Her false self is falling apart.  Some times it is easy, and some times it seems hard.  The reward is found going through the pain.

For me, taking the Essences is a continuation in the further eradication of triggered emotional responses (due in large part to past pain/past conditioning). It’s excess baggage my body doesn’t need and I’ve been in this process of peeling ‘layers’ of the self, for almost two years now, diving headfirst into the pain in order to eradicate it. Taking the Essences has really provided a sense of renewal and courage to take another leap into the ‘unknown’ and go further because “I” thought I was ‘done’ and that I could just ‘sit on the couch’ for the rest of my days (many mahalos to you, KC .
From the first reading, it’s felt like a progression, in the body. With regard to the body’s centers, it feels more like an awakening, an expansion. And then at times, it might even be described as pressure or like there is a weight on my chest, pushing upward toward the throat. It feels as if I am relearning how to speak, but from the body, instead of the mind. For an emotional being with the power to create, there is also the power to unleash fury and destroy. This was by far, the most humbling part to experience in this ‘process’ of annihilation, and still is. It’s knowing when to ‘shut up’ when in the midst of an emotional reactive mood, because that’s all it is…a mood…a reaction chemically, or a reaction to a conditioned thought (mostly negative). The mind has been my deepest conditioning to overcome.
Truly does feel like an accelerated process at the moment in taking the Essences because the hand picks up the bottle whenever it reaches for it and the body is more than happy to oblige and ‘see what happens next’. It’s been a joy to discover how my body has responded after each reading. Feels like the right direction to me. Feels like the real me is coming through more, becoming more alive. Lately, the way in which I express myself has changed and these expressions are much more truthful and correct, rather than just mind babble fueled by erratic and chaotic emotions.
Simply Being is what saved me from my own mind’s worldly hell and it also killed me too. I went completely mad. Snapped. And now, less is more. You know, come to ‘think’ of it, it’s good for the mind to take a backseat in this process of ‘stripping down to nothing’.
I just took the Essences about 15 minutes ago, and a thought of ‘correctness’ came through…real quick and nothing dramatic. Just what the eyes ‘see’ and have ‘seen’ and immediately there was a flutter, deep inside the G…and a few seconds later another, with it going up to the throat. “Wake up, wake up. You have something to say do you?”

I did my first splenic manifestor reading today.  I am one, but I have never done an essence reading on someone else of this Human Design type.  The essences that came up were pretty much what I  might have expected.  Two of them; Kapok Bush(Bush) and Greater Stitchwort(New Earth Essences) were for the effects of growing up as a manifestor: lethargy, worn out, apathy, resignation and feeling battered by life.  These are the same things I have experienced and that most adult manifestors are saddled with.  The world isn’t comfortable with manifestors and every sort of behavior modification technique is used to get them back in line with everyone else.  This manifestor can certainly use these essences as they will help to have another go at life with a refreshed perspective.

The third essence was a Solar Butterfly essence, Mio Goa, tourquoise from Eric Pelham.  It is for helping restore the Divine creativity that a splenic manifestor can spontaneously express in any moment.  Since most of us manifestors have had our spontaneous expression snuffed out, this essence will help reignite the natural expression or manifesting qualities we  had conditioned out of us.

These essences are the first ones that this person needed to help start the unwinding.  The splenic manifestor is one of the few creatures on the planet that is not meant to wait before acting, but instead to initiate through their intuitive knowing.  It has all gotten so mixed up.  The manifestors become good little waiters, and the others pretend to be manifestors by initiating all the time.  We took a step in this reading towards making this person more who they already are wired to be.

Here is an example of what is happening with my readings:

I first met Ken, just before my Translucent You retreat in April 2008.  I had no expectation and no alternative motive, just open to receive.  He picked out some flower essences for me and I used them over a period of time.  I was blessed with being on Kauai for approximately 4 months, and decided to continue this practice while there.  When I completed a bottle of flower essence I would then go see Ken and obtain another bottle.  What happened over this course of time seemed to be magical. While, I don’t pretend to understand the mechanism behind flower essences, I do accept its healing power and transformational properties I experienced.

When I first began using flower essence, I wasn’t fully aware why Ken picked out what he did or how it pertained to me.  To be honest I wasn’t even sure I would notice a difference.  However, over a few days, things began to become crystal clear.  I began to notice old hurts or emotions that I was unknowingly holding on to.  That alone was only part of the transformational process, but as we know the first step is awareness.  Not only did I begin to recognize these aspects of my life, I was able to detach from them for they no longer held significance for me.  After several bottles of flower essences, I began to have a genuine perspective about myself and life as a whole, one of happiness, one in which my heart felt expanded with gratitude and love.  With each essence I used the process was so subtle, like having a clay body mask and each part slowly falling away like little bits of a puzzle leaving me feeling refreshed and cleansed.  For me, using flower essences was a mystery and an awakening colliding.  That being said I leave you with a quote by Albert Einstein “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.”  Flower essence is in deed a mystery in the aspect I can not explain how it works, I just experience it and accept what it brings to me.  However, “The only source of knowledge is experience.”

Picking the correct flower essence is like picking the right homeopathic medicine. If you hit it on the mark, you may get a powerful healing effect. If not, it won’t hurt you.
