Relax
Relax is the best advice. Doctors agree. So what’s the problem? Why don’t we relax when it is so good for us?
The possible answers are infinite. The core reason is our belief in the reality that we seem to perceive. We are conditioned on levels that we can’t even imagine. That conditioning leads to our strong opinions on just about everything. Those opinions stand between us and seeing clearly what is actually happening. Fooled again and again. Despite our not seeing reality clearly, we cry, scream, fight, or kill for our version of our programming.
Relax? How do you relax when you can’t just be with what is? There is no relaxing in the conditioned need to alter our reality. Only straining. We imagine a fearful world and us being a separate victim of that world. Clawing our way along the chain of survival. Addicted to the other. Feeling oh so alone.
Breathe into your belly. With the relaxation that allows, consider the possibility that everything is OK just the way it is. Consider whether your mind is you or whether you are the observer, the one aware of all of this. Close your eyes and be in that anxiety free state.
